Oregon Watercolor Society Submission.....

Watercolor by Jennifer Winship Mark
I am such a procrastinator!  I had until 8pm tonight to get this
watercolor completed for the WSO show coming up in Sunriver Oregon this October.
I finished the piece at 7:50- photographed it and entered it by 8:04.
It will be interesting to see what happens......
This is a portrait of my daughter, Laura.  A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of picking lavender out in Yamhill , Oregon during the Lavender Festival.  It was breathtakingly beautiful farm land.
I combined a photo taken of Laura looking into the sun while standing overlooking the Arno River in Florence  a couple of years ago.
Keep watching because I am working on some new landscapes currently.
I will post as soon as I have something!

I am a big admirer of Sas Christian's large oil paintings.
Here are a few I experimented with using watercolors.

There is nothing more expressive than a pug's funny face.  What personality they all have!
