Watercolor donation .......

Watercolor by Jennifer Winship Mark
This is a variation of the Vanessa cardui, also known as the painted lady butterly. This particular one has the pronounced blue spots. These blue spots occur usually in younger butterflys but only for a short time. This coloring is usually caused by the pupa being exposed to cold.

This piece I donated to Providence Child Care
in honor of Chuck and Louanna Eggert

Louanna told the story of a butterfly that fluttered none stop around their yard the day after their daughter, Emily passed on.
Now when Louanna sees a butterfly, she feels reminded that she has a guardian angel watching over her.

The great people at Providence were so sweet that they sent me a package of printed noted cards with this painting on the front and Louanna's touching story on the back.
very cool!!!!
Another good reason to keep on doing nice things for others.
